Mannheimia haemolytica Leukotoxin Monoclonal Antibodies

Disclosure #: 1043
Description: This invention comprises three different monoclonal antibodies which bind to leukotoxin produced by Mannheimia haemolytica. Mannheimia (Pasteurella) haemolytica serotype A1 is a common opportunistic pathogen of beef and dairy cattle which causes infection when cattle are stressed or infected with other pathogens. Disease caused by the bacteria is the most common and the most costly for feedlot cattle. These antibodies bind to leukotoxin secreted by A1, A2 and other serotypes.
Advantage(s): Sole source of three different hybridomas producing three different monoclonal antibodies specific for the Mannheimia haemolytica leukotoxin.
Application(s): These antibodies are ideal for use in enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), flow cytometry, western blot analysis and other immunochemical assays to quantify M. haemolytica leukotoxin in any preparation, particularly vaccines made against this bacterium.
