NUtech Ventures
In September 2009, the Office of Technology Development moved its operations into NUtech Ventures, a separate nonprofit technology commercialization company dedicated to serving the inventor community at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.NUtech links industry, entrepreneurs and investors with academic researchers who are driven to commercialize their technologies. NUtech builds value by forming long-term, trusted relationships with external partners leading to technology that is not simply "transferred" but jointly created, developed and exploited in a fully collaborative process.
We are in the process of building a new Web site to reflect NUtech's new partnering philosophy and brand identity. In the meantime, the old Office of Technology Development Web site still provides useful information to faculty and industry. We expect NUtech Ventures to have a strong Web presence in early 2010.
OTD's mission is to help translate academic research into new products and services for the benefit of Nebraskans and the public. We are dedicated to assisting University inventors commercialize their technologies to support both economic development and future research at the University.
